Airline Pilot Central Forums - Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

I'm planning to ship a bicycle from SRQ to CVG. Any suggestions? I'm mostly wondering about the FedEx discount or just checking it on Delta when I nonrev. Thanks!

Not at all. After promoting the exclusion of the Comair pilots, he has found himself and his pilots, excluded.

It's a 75% discount on items shipped by air. There are no ground shipping discounts, which is still cheaper than 25% of the 'by air' cost.

Ha ha C-5 my ass. Those Ass clowns were trying to load a generator in Kabul when I was deployed there. The crane system busted and the generator busted the wooden floor. The pilots wouldn't let us see the flight deck because there were empty bottles of vodka everywhere.

330 and 777 pilots get bicycles shipped for free. Door to door service. Cold Milk or hot chocolate and cookies of your choice to the sender and receiver.

My advice is bid the 777. :D

Checking it on Delta=$150. Even for non-revs.

The only way to do it at a decent rate is to ship it cargo. Logistically a bit more challenging but way cheaper. Since we get 90% off Dash and bulk cargo. I just brought shipped a full bike and an extra pair of wheels from NYC to ATL for 50. w/o the wheels it probably would have been around 30 something.

Bikes and airlines do NOT get along these days. At all.
