Then why did the company come to us and add $1B to our contract, allow us to establish hard caps at DCI, reduce the max number of 76-seat aircraft that could be authorized at DCI, require a reduction in aircraft at DCI, tighten domestic and international code share language, establish global JV protections, etc.?

Maybe the answer is the most obvious. The one staring you right in the face with the company's SEC filing; "new pilot agreement critical to this effort."

The 70 seaters are a big deal because... their big.
That's why I'm glad we limited the number of 70-seaters from unlimited, down to 102. BTW, the 76-seater is a big deal, as is the number of flights over 900sm, glad to see that we effectively reduced those also.

The PWA now provides a segway to growing them without increasing the mainline fleet count above 767 AND without parking 1:1 70 seaters to get there.

But, yeah... you're right. 223 is less than 153, right?
The max number of 76-seat aircraft that could be authorized has been dramatically reduced, as has the number of 70-seat aircraft. Now they are limited to 102 70-seat airacaft, vs an unlimited number.

The end result of all of this is fewer seats at DCI, a larger percentage of Delta system block hours at mainline.

70 seaters were NOT unlimited under the previous contract!!!!! Large RJs(that's 76 seat AND 70 seat aircraft) were LIMITED to 255. Off those 255, 153 were permitted to be 76 seaters. 70 seat RJs were NOT unlimited!!!

What Items do you want improved or changed in our current PWA?

We may have more than just the FT/DT LOA to improve our PWA across multiple sections, and now is the time to start forward looking on what items we want to pinpoint and then discuss.
No more FPL for people who aren't on the MEC, selling the future TA's.

Please,

It doesn't matter what we want. It's all about what ALPA thinks we need. They will do the thinking for us and they'll do a great job selling it to us.

The last paragraph was mostly t-i-c. Like T said "I'm bored" and thought I'd tee this one up. I will say, I won't waste time filling out a survey and while I enjoyed the generally good debate (lawn chair excluded), we are a small yet vocal group who take the time to research and discuss. The vast majority (62% I think) just want to fly their trips, go home and hope when they retire the CPO says "WHO?".

If now...any suggestions on a good place to go look at them in the NYC area?

Thanx.

I've got about 4 pairs of them, 2 for me, 2 for wife/daughter. I bought them all at WalMart for half the price they wanted in the ATL A concourse store, but that was about 6+ years ago, I'm still wearing two of those pairs, one I keep in my Bombay bag for work, the other I wear daily when at home. Oh, and when my wife broke her first pair, Walmart exchanged it, for free.

I think I paid about $50 at Walmart, vs. over $100 at the pilot store. Again, this was 6+ years ago, not sure what they cost now, or if Walmart still has them.

I do like them for both driving and flying. I have much darker sunglasses I wear when sailing and bike riding.
