Did anyone see the regional thread about all the regionals dropping out of known crewmember? I hope the program sticks around. If everyone drops out, the cost will probably go up for the airlines that are left.
I'll go check it out, but are they dropping out because the benefit fails to outweigh the cost since it's hardly available anywhere?

GOL's $1.6 billion debt load, the most of any major airline worldwide relative to profit, is fueling speculation it will sell assets to raise cash or merge with another carrier.
Gol announced in December that Delta Air Lines Inc., the world’s second-biggest airline by traffic, agreed to buy a $100 million stake and that the carriers would begin booking passengers on each other’s jets.
Cheers
George
Might be because the airlines and A4A specifically are paying for it. Might be a ploy to get the major to eat all of the cost.
So you would rather the most senior... oldest... 300 left rather than the 191 more youthful group that DID leave? Yeah, I think he's serious and he has a great point. You might want to revisit your stance on that one.
It still doesn't make his statement not downright stupid. All the early outs have gone to the same age range, so 300 would be better than 191. As per your example, this "bump" will evaporate over 3-5 years... and to top it off, they didn't backfill beyond one layer either.
My seniority number has gone up, but I'm more junior than I was in 2008.
