ACL, do you know why your friend the C54 FO Rep hasn't flown for more than a year?

I've heard him talk about who he suspects Check, Slow, Scoop, 80kts, Denny, Sailing, George, Super, Dal88, Buzz, T, Bar, Ferd, Alpha, Nu, cni - not to mention you and plenty of others. This board is far from anonymous and it seems to get less anonymous the more you lean towards ALPA...just sayin' and I've had Mods PM me based on my specific IP. It isn't cordial it's tracking.

I do believe you to be as fair as they come here however. :)

I wouldn't know any APC posters if I bumped into them and don't really care...Except I'd like to know FTB and Boomer. I know some of their names because they've outed themselves, but I still don't know who they are. If I flew with an APCer and we started talking about it, it would be interesting; like an inside joke.

Does any of this really matter?

If a normal schedule would have seen "Captain Gomez" on the ballot, perhaps it would be a bit easier for "First Officer Gomez" to slide over a seat.

If any of the Captains running have status rep experience, I missed it. Not that anything turns on that dime. I expect whoever is elected will get the hang of it as well & fast as their predecessors have.

Nothing prevents an FO from being chairman, even if they are on the bottom third of the list, if they want to run for it.

I was pondering the LEC, but of course, you are correct.

I would have to guess that would be a question for a Council 54 pilot to ask.

Since ACL is a Council 44 guy, his questions/comments about Coucil 44 election issues are entirely valid.

I figured since ACL is the go to information guy and has quoted discussions with AA that he'd know.

ACL or any 54 folks have an answer?

Me too, that's what I was pondering, I should have been more clear.

T, your beloved Big Orange are better than you think. Dooley needs one or two more years to clean up the Fulmer/Kiffin mess. UT will be relevant again soon. This coming from an LSU fan.

It looks like a fabricated issue to me.
You can't have a member-in-good-standing rendered ineligible to run.
So if you had nominations one day, he's ineligible to run as a CA.
If you had the nominations another day, he's ineligible to run as FO.
But he was ALWAYS eligible to run.
That's why I say it's a fabricated issue.

Imagine all the fabricated outrage if they had moved the nominations to October, instead of September, and he ran for captain.

Sometimes the simplest answer is the right one. C44 had nominations in September, like they usually do, pilots in good standing run for the position they are eligible for. Geez.

For why a C54 Rep was not flying for over a year? If you are a DAL pilot you could look up his info on the C54 web page and call him.

Or I suppose the idea is to attempt to slime ACL as having discussions with Reps from other LEC's.

Kind of like you'd do as a Rep?

Maybe C44 Reps only talk to the MEC Chairman and his cabinet
