This is one of the biggest fallacies of the DPA.

In the non-binding, advisory meet and confer required of the Ford-Cooksey settlement, ALPA regional DCI carriers supported our Scope changes, knowing full well the ramifications - because they want to see the mainline grow and hopefully see a mainline job. The ALPA regional BOD reps 2 years ago put the final nail in the coffin the attempted resurrection (by UAL) of the National Seniority List because they knew it would make them junior forever. ALPA Regional members supporting mainline Scope, even at the potential cost of their own positions - fancy that. I'm sure they'd be doing all of that if the weren't part of ALPA

Excellent post. Too few realize the truth of what you state.

Got an answer to my query, Mr. Straight Talk Express?

I'll help. Page three on the March 16 2012 bid award.

Have to admit ... the bumper sticker on the "Straight Talk Express" is pretty funny. Vandals!

Because it's chocked.

I take (or used to take before my furlough) my preflight responsibilities very seriously. :D

Why is John McCain's A-4 on fire? He should jettison that drop tank if he wants to make it back to Yankee Station.

My question is, did you ask for your severance money in 1 dollar bills for the biggest stripper party in the history of the world? :)

"Here's your check, Mr. Boomer"

"I'm going to need that in ones."

"why?"

"I'm gonna make it raaain!"

I have a question. It stems from a post that seems to be gone now.
Are the Mod's paid? Or are they partners in the company that owns APC?

APC Moderators are unpaid, uncompensated pilot volunteers who have agreed to help attempt to keep the dialog on APC pointed in a positive direction. For full transparency, in the past moderators have received a Christmas gift in the form of a modest Amazon gift card. However, we view this as a gift, not compensation.

Moderators are not "partners" in Internet Brands (the parent company of APC).

Now that is an interesting question, especially since this site isn't governed by labor law and its member protections like the ALPA sites are!

ACL, Johnso, 80?

Any moderator who finds themselves elected or appointed to any ALPA MEC position would do well to discuss their participation on APC with MEC counsel and Mike Abram's office.

That would be expressly counter to the APC goals of establishing a healthy online aviation community. There is no such "rule".

Strange his training has been postponed until after the election...

Why is he in the running for FO when he has a CA bid award. This is not right.
