I've been reduced to posting cat cartoons. How sad is that?

I've been trading options for 20 years.

I doubt it. Philly is inland and despite all the hype about this storm (slow hurricane season) it is forecast to hit that area as a CAT I.

Possible flooding damage and power outages - Yes. Storm of the century
(which by the way happens twice a year) - No.

Scoop

Isn't Philadelphia Northeast of the Delaware Bay, via the Delaware River? Possible, but not probable.

Do any of you guys recall the real "unspun" number of seats that were lost as a result of PBS ?

It's hard to break out any one area. PBS in and of itself does not cost you jobs. The work rules it is programmed with cost jobs. You could easily have PBS mimic lot bidding for zero job loss. The total changes in the 96 to 2006 timeframe increased block hours per pilot for line holders from 600 to 800 hours. Not sure how much reserves went up.

Did you read the memo in question? I'm not trying to be negative. I'm trying to analyze it like a shareholder/industry analyst (and the lawyer who wrote it) would.

So, "brah," I take it that you thought that memo said they'd be placing a widebody order in 2013? Enjoy the view with those Widget colored glasses on.

It's ironic--I guarantee the execs possess absolutely none of the "Widget Punch" sentimentality they're counting on us to believe in. That's why they enjoy huge bonuses--and why we're just tickled pink when we manage to abscond with a few crumbs from their table.

The company has been consistent that new wide body orders will not arrive before 2017. They normally need 18 months lead time. We still hold 777 delivery positions if they want airframes sooner. Not likely they will execute those positions.

Slow,

First off, thanks for answering my earlier request. I can't keep up on everyone's ignore list. Second, you claim to have the answer to what was offered as a last gasp for comair. I don't have that info. Why answer the posters question with another question unless your just pulling my leg? Do you really know the answer? If you do then why don't you share? Right now it looks like your just trying to start a forum fight of he said she said. Doesn't really help with your credibility on this issue.

Btw, I may have 38%er as my tag line but I sure am happy to be here. I'm just feeling nostalgic for the pay of old. It's healthy to have folks argue for more. Keeps the reps on their toes. Looking out the window and soaking up a healthy dose of reality is definitely required from both sides of the issues we face.

I'm sleepy. Did slow or Alfa see this? Goodnight.

I know that's an infraction on so many different levels.

Granted, there is typical military paperwork required for any reimbursements, but it may still be way cheaper than the company plans. There is a handbook at Tricare.com. I use Tricare Prime myself, but I would still go Standard over the company plans if it came down to it. You earned those benefits, my advice is to use them. They are pretty good.

The only things I do through the company are dental, vision and the FSA (I'm not sure the vision plan actually saves me any money). I gave Express Scripts the card number for the FSA so I never even see the bill for most of our prescriptions.

Actually, Tricare Standard has made the Delta Plans affordable for me since they cover most of the co-pays and deductibles. Other than the premiums I have not had any out of pocket costs (for prescription drugs, doctor or hospital visits).
