Apparently today was the release of the new Onboard Safety Videos. There's two versions and they're actually pretty funny and well done in my opinion. For those who can't get enough of 'Deltalina' and her finger wave, she makes a cameo appearance (I find her freakish looking)
Version One: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KZW20cEfdk Version Two: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4apfa1O2MWw Loved that Version 1. That was well done. To me, if you can smile the entire time while you're talking and still be crystal clear, kudos to you, you should be on tv. I spit when I talk. So I'm impressed by that kind of stuff. :D |

There are enough people out there who think all we do is sit and let the autopilot do everything. To think that one of our management pilots would go along with the slapstick is incredible. Yeah, I know it's supposed to be funny, since were just button pushers and all.

Delta is running completely full 757's on that route now. Guess the Alaska flights will make life a little easier for commuters anyway.
If they don't go down and the route is successful then there was room for more seats on that route then what we were doing. But instead of us doing it we're welcoming Alaska to do it in our place. |

Sorry but I found the pilot turning and pushing the "FLY" button to be rather insulting, demeaning and denigrating to our profession. Apparently DALPA does too, as a call went in to Ed Bastian about it.

it looks like a small incandescent bulb designed to indicate something out of the ordinary like a malfunction. I find it pretty and somewhat hypnotic. That too sir. |
Sir we may be out of fuel, we've lost engine 2, and engine 1 is no longer on fire.
