(that was my bad, I voted yes because truthfully I guess I did not fully comprehend the efficiency's that were gained. With letters from SD say possible hiring in fall of 2012 and the union saying 3000 new hires and such... I took hook line and sinker. Once again my bad.)

A lot of people took the bait.....62% in fact.

As a 2010 hire, I'm seriously considering bailing for United. I'm on my second displacement and keep moving farther from home. A Chicago commute would be better than any of the other Delta junior bases.

Anyone else thinking of pulling the cord?

I live in IAH and while I'd love to live in base, I wouldn't leave for UAL. There's just as many unknowns there as there are here if not more. They're years behind us in "merger synergies" and they've got a lot of changes coming up as well. Aka contract or seniority integration, base/aircraft shuffling etc

I know a WN guy that is looking to bail to DL!

I have a close friend (in my wedding close) who is a furloughed Delta guy who currently flies for FedEx. He's coming back.

The only way I could see this is if he/she lives in a dal base or hates night flying with a passion. Lol

He lives in SEA and and can hold the ER there. He hates the MEM commute.

Makes sense, I could see that. Especially coming back on 12 year pay.

Talk about increasing gouge. That thing will hold everyone in the world and only need 2 crews on a rotating basis.

1 Captain and 3 FO's too, amirite?

And you know it'll be flown by Air France.

And you'll be behind all of them in Customs.

And there still won't be a separate crew bunk.

that could be an issue.

however, is worth it. $15ST dollars to destroy the set of the View when Hassleback is on maternity leave for the sixth time is worth it.

Hired with a guy who left DAL for UAL after 2 yrs. He made 777 f/o pretty quickly and then was furloughed pretty quickly. Not a happy camper now. We were May '97 hires. Hang in there, it's always about timing.

Thanks. Not sure why you are attaching my screen name to your new avatar, but look forward to future civil discourse.
