Just did an accident investigation on a similar design called a "Breezy." When the craft hit the tops of the trees the pilot came out, then the contraption followed him into the crash site. He survived.
What made the loss amusing was the witness statement, who said, "it was like the pilot was shot out of a Roman Catapult, then the Catapult flew in behind him .... " Ouch.
A crash would certainly stink, but it looks like a blast! I watched the promo video, & now I want one. :D

In honor of everything is awesome Sunday
FTB's Craigslist Competition ... just awarded best Craigslist Ad, ever:
It's a flying club bird, with 12 members, quite cheap to buy in and to fly - otherwise no way I could afford an airplane right now with my other hobbies. She's hangared at Airlake (KLVN), on about a 12 mile final to Runway 35 in MSP. I'm always up for any excuse to go fly her, so feel free to PM me sometime you're stuck on the frozen tundra of MSP for an overnight :D.
I've seen your airport on approach to CLT! Looks like a sweet little strip, and Lake Norman is a gorgeous area. Do you actually have a house/hangar right on the runway? Someday....
OK - off to snowblow the driveway. 6" and counting so far today.... :(
We are on the runway, 50 yardline give or take. When we built our house back in 07, I had to allocate space for a "future" hanger site...a task as of yet not addre$$ed. Remember Ron White in blue collar comedy..."I may be broke, but my neighbors are LLOOAADDEADD!!!" One of our good NYC ERA's on this thread came by awhile back and took me for an RV ride...good stuff. Anyhow thanks for the kind invite, back at ya (and all our Delta Brothers). We still don't lock our doors in this part of the Country. The Rottweiler is big but she won't bite... most importantly the bar is stocked and the grill is ready. Come stay awhile. Very nice Bonanza Buck! I'm jealous of that one too. Cheers H

I want one of these. I hope they get to manufacturing, but seems unlikely
MSP is getting hammered right now. But it helps one get in a Christmas mood. :)
Johnso, if you're at the long layover hotel. Go down to the restaurant and get their wild rice and mushroom soup. Awesome stuff! Especially on a cold day.

Thanks for the info, but I'm actually at home. I can't remember the last time I flew into MSP. But now I know where to get some good soup if I overnight there. :)

I bet your fun to fly with!
I'm sure both you and Gunship Guy are fun to fly with! I think all he and a lot of the other pilots are saying is that certain enhancements should not be mandated. I will still wear my uniform properly, make PAs when they are needed and approriate....but forced pa's and conversation is just that forced.

Maybe when they spool up the DTW 73N category you'll see some St. Paul/Livonia relief. :p
