The ALPA board used to have a "toys" thread. It was neat to see folks' projects... . What does the board think of putting up pics of what we do for fun?
1985 BMW K100 w/ 100,000 miles on the clock. Rode it nearly 15,000 miles around the circumference of the lower 48, and to Alaska and back, among other rides. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-emxeEutcOW...2+-+M-2242.jpg OK, my boat is a wee bit less impressive than this (crewed on this one in the BVI recently)! Didn't really answer my question. I don't really care about the video. So, one more time, do you ever have a good day? It's simple, really. You seem to be a really unhappy guy.
Did you fly gunships? Of the Air Force variety? If so, I'm amazed. As for the gunships, yes, I did. In AFSOC we were more about accomplishing the desired objectives and getting the mission done; not so much on talking about it. In my experience, customers appreciate results, not talk. Maybe that's where I get it from.:D |
Sweet Cub JungleBus. Wish I could afford one. Maybe one day. Where do you keep her? We live on NC 26. Google it when you have time then use Google Earth for a better view. 3000' grass surrounded by Lake Norman. Cheers H

Nice stuff, keep it coming.
My screen name, "Bucking Bar," originates from bringing salvaged and wrecked airplanes back to life, including a little rivet driving and wrench turning on Delta's Ship 41 after is came up from Puerto Rico as a corroded mess. Here is one of my projects which got a rebuilt flap, two wing leading edges, and engine / prop upgrade. Sold this airplane just before the market tanked and recently got into another Bonanza. |

All my days are good days. Some are really good. They usually include commuting home where the FAs show some compassion by not making excessive PAs, the pilot doesn't stand at the door and give everyone on board a four minute description of his flying career and how he used to land on boats. Where I don't have to listen to RA tell me how he gets to sit at CE's desk everyday, followed by a lengthy advertisement pushing AmEx cards where I have no where to go to escape the non-stop barrage of people who love to hear themselves talk. If I were a frequent flyer the last thing I'd need is for the crew to feel I'm honored to have them talk to me even more when I'm trying to enjoy some quiet time after a hectic day where I'm just looking forward to getting on my computer and use the wifi so I can open my email only to get hit with spam showing dancing Delta employees and their magic wand routine. My diamond medallion AF friends who fly around the globe and are away from home more days than most Delta pilots have said as much.

I've seen your airport on approach to CLT! Looks like a sweet little strip, and Lake Norman is a gorgeous area. Do you actually have a house/hangar right on the runway? Someday.... OK - off to snowblow the driveway. 6" and counting so far today.... :( |
