If we do the Virgin Atlantic thingie, it will be just another KLM thing. We MAY get a few more flights into Britain but the beyond flying will still be on VA. Just like the JAL deal, if it would have worked, would have been a good deal for us only because the profit sharing check would have gone up. Anyone have any recommendations, or horror stories will do also, on the purchase of an 3-D, LED TV, w/ 240Hz refresh rate? Looking for a dependable, 55" or 60" with above features. A fan of Samsung, but have seen good reviews on the brand "LG". So decided to come here to learn from a place where everyone is an "expert"!! :D:D Thanks in advance for the replies. GJ P.S. Notice the two "laughing" emoticons behind the comment of "everyone being self-proclaimed experts". That is why the decision to outfit Flight Ops with EFB's of any sort will be a decision that goes to the highest levels of DAL for funding approval. It also goes farther than just buying the darn devices. It also surrounds support, a device that supports modifications to our enterprise, has latitude from the maker and OS provider to make changes and to allow DAL the access to modify programs as needed.
Buying our own may be offered but again it will be a short term solution to a hurdle not the final policy and plan. |

They would be more likely to allow us freedoms with the os that Apple will not. Microsoft also pointed out just how much they like to fly (read: continue to fly) on Delta Air Lines. FWIW, I will believe it when the tablet is in my hand monitoring my surfing habits. ;)
