Just curious...in what way?

Our hubs to a codeshare's hub. DAL was more of a point to point airline. I forget how many destinations we had in Europe before the merger... and have steadily watched them erode to basically AMS/FRA/LHR etc etc...

Don't get me wrong.. I know it is all about economic times and all.. but we have retrenched to the NWA strongholds...

My category has been absolutely slaughtered since the merger.

I think he means feeding huge hubs on each side of the Atlantic, letting the respecting alliance partner do the final destination in Europe or the US, and forego point-to point.

Works perfect until you drop the higher yielding pax, who don't want two connections in the middle of their Chicago-Edinuburgh, or Lyon-Miami, or Nashville-Budapest... etc.

Unless he's upset about the blue carpets in the cockpit.

Not upset other than to point out that it sucks. And your first paragraph was correct. I am starting to wonder what we are going to do with the -ER going forward sometimes...

That NL Wild Card game may be the most bizzare baseball game I've ever seen.

I was at the Y today, listening to some older ladies in the jacuzzi, talking about a niece that went out on a first date.

He texted her this morning a 7:15, to say how much he enjoyed meeting her. She, unfortunately, doesn't like the guy, and feels not all attracted. It seemed like she was torn on whether to be clear right now, before any additional dates. The consensus seemed to be that there is nothing to be gained by letting the guy down slowly: there should be no more dates, and she should be honest, upfront.

Made sense to me.

Then I read the Crew Ressources Update for November. I'm pretty sure Crew Resources went the other way, and this is date number two (since the TA), and they don't know how to tell us we're not getting any... advancement. Not any time soon. If they get really, really desperate, sure, they'll call us. They have our numbers. They really care about us, but they don't look at us in that way.

But at FDX, UPS, and SWA, it IS zero. Hell, it's "virtually" zero at Virgin America, AA, and USAir.

Don't try arguing with them. They don't understand why we aren't happy to sit at the bottom of a never moving list and suck hind teat.

They got theirs and don't really care.
