Scambo, I could be wrong, but as a 2010 hire we were briefed to have a recommendation by e-mail from airlineapps.com. If the rec was from a delta.com e-mail address, those apps went to the top of the list.

There's the pilot selection email address (and I've heard about the email to airapps) so now you understand my confusion. I want to send the rec's from my company email to the right person / place.

Your friend should send you a rec request via airline apps, ie, [email protected]. Follow the instructions, it's self-explanatory, then hit submit and the company has it.

In terms of a separate e-mail or resume walk-in, I don't know if they allow that anymore. If someone else knows, please correct me.

So what I am hearing is: There is no mechanism by which I write and submit a letter of rec unless I am emailed a request thru airapps by the pilot?

Something sounds wrong about that.

And it could very well be different this time because there is a different chief of pilot hiring.

I agree it's "Wrong", but I asked the ATL Int. CPO, "Who do I write a letter of recomendation to..." and the answer they gave me was exactly what Elvis said; The applicant has to do his app. on Airline Applications and in the app, he includes your Delta.com email address (I had to activate mine, I never use it, and I had to change all my gd passwords just to do it!)

Then, when your friend finishes, you will get a request type email on your Delta.com address, and you clik the link, write the letter directly on the Airlineapps.come site.

Huge pain the ass, if you've never activated your Delta.com email, especially when we aren't even hiring...

You would think an Employee could find SOMEONE in Delta Personel to write to, but the app stack is so big, they won't even look at one, unless it comes through Airlineapps.com first.

Thanks for checking Timbo. That's why I've kept my Delta e-mail active since I was hired. Getting it activated was indeed a PITA.

401k %

Does anyone remember what our 401k company contribution percentages were for 2009 and 2010? Or can you tell me where to look for the info.

Delta bolsters 2013 service to Paris
October 5, 2012

Delta announced Friday it will begin additional service to Paris next summer with flights departing from hubs and key business markets.

The combined new and existing services means Delta will offer year-round and seasonal flights to Paris from 11 destinations in the U.S., including six hubs.

Specifically, new and expanded service to Paris–Charles de Gaulle will include new nonstop service from Newark’s Liberty International Airport, new summer seasonal service from Boston’s Logan International Airport, an additional flight from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and expanded service between Detroit’s Metro Airport. Flights between Detroit and Paris will expand from seasonal 767-300 service to year-round A330-300 service.

Additionally, Delta has committed to resuming seasonal service between Pittsburgh and Paris while expanding the frequency to five times per week.

Delta is also adding an additional seasonal flight between New York-JFK and Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.

Glen Hauenstein, e.v.p.–Network Planning, Revenue Management and Marketing, noted that the new service will improve Delta’s position in Paris while supporting the joint venture with Air France-KLM.

November Crew Resources update is out.

Bid due out in a couple weeks- small narrowbody bid preparing staffing for the 717s and 737s. Minimal widebody slots. DC-9 likely to stay through 2014 now.

They appeared to actively avoid the "hiring" term.

Also, no we are not merging with HA or AS. :)
