Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Nothing better than searching for treasures in foreign lands...
Yes, yes Sailing, I know we are going to have more block hours and all but according to a LEC rep who now says we are a 1000 pilots fat and Ed Bastians comments (see below) it appears that they intend to man the airline with the efficiency's gained in the contract. (that was my bad, I voted yes because truthfully I guess I did not fully comprehend the efficiency's that were gained. With letters from SD say possible hiring in fall of 2012 and the union saying 3000 new hires and such... I took hook line and sinker. Once again my bad.)
A lot of people took the bait.....62% in fact.
As a 2010 hire, I'm seriously considering bailing for United. I'm on my second displacement and keep moving farther from home. A Chicago commute would be better than any of the other Delta junior bases.
Anyone else thinking of pulling the cord?

I would leave for United soon as I could

I always thought Baby Spice was better than Posh.
I don't know how long your bud has been at FDX, but you know what they say about chasing a base and/or shiny jet... Anyway, if he has been at FDX for awhile, he should be able to hold double deadheads.......paid duty, and a deviation bank ($) to get from home to the shiny jet, and back home.
Makes the home vs base dilemma ALMOST moot.
Merry Christmas,

Anderson talked yesterday about their iconic brand and how well our two cultures will mesh.
Ha! The Southern Baptist good ol' boys are in for a rude awakening with some of Branson's antics.
Do you suppose we will see this ad in the Atlanta market?

no but I want him to be happy and if commuting out of Chicago and switching planes in the first 3 years is enough to want to leave for United then I say giddy up...... plus I have 5 friends right now that would give their left nut to have his position so that's a win win and everybody's happy
