My thoughts: I know that the delta interview is a very hard interview to pass and those who pass it deserve to have the job that they have. I can also see why they want everyone else that comes to delta to have to pass that interview because if they had to do it, then someone else should too. When it comes to a company like pinnacle getting a flow, there are some pilots who I would say, they shouldnt be flying for an airline at all. But they were hired becuase the regionals needed pilots becuase of all the increased flying over the years.
Times are changing though and the legacies will be hiring like mad in a couple years and they will not be able to be as selective as they are now. The one thing that the legacies have that the regionals dont is superior training programs. Programs, that can weed out bad apples.
Delta is very innovative lately, the oil refinery, the parking of the 50 seaters an virgin atlantic.
Why not bring on pilots that know your system, routes and customer service standards. If not, the other legacies are hiring and before long, you will be taking pilots from embry riddle and north dakota, just like the regionals did for years. They will have spikey hair and they will be wearing their ipods and a 737 will be their first jet.

If this does happen and an interview is involved, I will be greatful and ready for sure.

Thank you for just reinforcing why I think you should interview at the mainline and undergo probation.

+717

there are certainly a lot of folks that seem to have a sense of entitlement about a job here (and, in all fairness, some that don't).

Surely Delta will insist that any new Delta pilots undergo the interview process.

The qualified guys will welcome the chance to excel at the interview.

Those with something to hide will squeal like stuck pigs about the indignity of submitting to an interview.

A five minute interview vs 13-17 years of service for NWA/DAL. Your logic escapes me. But don't worry, DAL won't flow us.

It's definitely not a 5 minute interview. Besides, with all of your experience, you shouldn't have a problem....unless you have a problem.

Ha. Try two days of interviewing and testing with less than a 50% pass rate. It was not even in the same ball park as my regional interview.

Nope I've never interviewed and not been offered the job. Well except a modeling job for the college bookstore catalog.

I fail to see the logic that one job interview at Compass is a vastly superior litmus test, to providing 13-17 years of safe transportation as a Northwest Airlink/Delta Connection feeder. The guys that would have flowed under the old agreement are not 25 year old kids. They are in their 40's and older. My friends that did flow haven't met a single CA that had an issue with the flow.

We are beating a dead horse. There won't be a flow. Hopefully other Legacies will hire in the next six months.

Reading about flows is a lot like watching Mark Sanchez playing quarterback.

It's a bit of a train wreck.

Looked for a picture of Mr. Sanchez and ended up finding a picture of a rumored girlfriend. An Auburn girl who denied it.

I'll post that picture instead.

hey, it's better than talking about flows, eh?
