Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Most of it isn't that funny... but...
I did find a picture in a 757 that was a hand drawn cartoon of lee moak with his wife and a dog next to his house which was named bastian.
The caption read "Now Lee, the dog can lick his balls just fine himself."
Just thought I'd share that I received a personalized response from my Senator about a form letter e-mail I'd sent to him from one of the Calls to Action. While I assume he didn't actually write it (most likely a staffer) it was personalized enough to know that someone on his staff looked at it and took the time to write a coherent response. I was surprised to receive any response at all (it was the one about FFDO funding). I have used both e-mail, fax and snail mail in the past BUT this is the first time I have received a response and I was pleased to see it. Has anyone else had a response to any of the Calls to action?

Now when you introduce a new piece of equipment that should generate more revenue and justify higher pay, we want it to pay more than the current category, but how long will it be before pilots start complaining that they aren't getting paid as much to fly the 320 as the 321?
This is one of the problems with pay banding.

New K is encouraged to sign things, isn't he? He's like Carroll Shelby is to Mustangs, right?
So, we're paying mechanics to go chase down graffiti? I guess those MCOs can wait...

See this is the conundrum. Some pilots flying in common category loathe having separate pay on aircraft (M88-M90) so the lower paying equipment has been brought up to the higher paying rate. There is some downside though, as the higher paying equipment does somewhat subsidize the higher pay rate of the smaller equipment.

Something that seats more ought to pay more. A formula to that effect (which can also factor speed) would have ensured that the company couldn't squeeze more from each 737 and 88, without paying those pilots more. More butts = more revenue for DAL = more pay for us. And yes, absolutely: the 747 should pay much more than the 777.
