CQ question. I keep getting alerts about CQ in my early month (FEB), however nothing in icrew, PBS or the FEB CQ awards on the crew planning page. Don't they have to have it scheduled by the 4th so I can bid around it? Thanks

Training has to be preposted by the 5th. Did you bid not to go for the month? If nothing is posted then you will not be going in Feb.

What a fantastic cover!

As far as baby stuff... lil man didnt sleep at all, so therefore neither did we. I came down with a fever around 4am. That was fun! We're heading home this afternoon.

He's been sleeping the last few hours plotting another night of terror... ;)

Welcome to the fun. Good news is that at 2am it's only you, BuzzPatt and the rest of the west coast gang posting. (and Carl in Narita but he's on "hiatus". Bad news is that the 'lil 80 doesn't know much about when to sleep, so he'll be back up at 6am wanting breakfast. Also, hard to call in sick for taking care of him, so being sick at home just makes it all worse!

We need more late night posters. After about 2:00 AM EST it gets pretty lame around here.

This is old but I never heard it until my CA turned me on to it. Google Continental Airlines Crew Scheduling India. I'd post the link but couldn't get it to paste. (Talk about lame.)

Scheduler discretion? Or a scheduler giving some instruction: "And so with this click the green slip is awarded. [click!] By the way, we'd normally just break that trip up, so don't do it like that in the future, okay?"

Next lesson: How to avoid giving a ATL-CHS turn out as a WS and instead giving it to a LC reserve with 10 minutes to spare.

So what if someone told you this was their current financial situation:

This year, I spent $35,402.

I make $24,583.

I have $164,318 on my credit card.

Oh, I promised people I'd spend somewhere between $580,000 and $860,000, so far. I may spend more. In fact I know I will.

U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time

If that was your fiance' and she was the hottest of hot chicks and she was a great person and was really into everything you did, it would be grounds for dumping her on the spot.

As far as the US gov't situation, going over the fiscal cliff would have actually solved some of the "problems" created by the gov't. Not to say it would not have been immensly painful for a large segment of the population. The cliff is coming, it just got a little steeper.

Does this include all training or just CQ? Been trying to find out some semblance of what days I'll be in the ATL. Scheduled to convert on 31 Jan, and I can't see why they would convert me into the bench with plenty of time left in the conversion window.

Also as a wrong thread TOTD nom, I got to listen to a FNWA bus capt lecture an AirTran jumpseater about how badly the NWA pilots fared in our SLI. Ugh.

I hear ya.

One of the funniest things about dropping the 8 digits to do this comparison is that the amount they talk about cutting from government is like $30 out of $35,000 and we're still only making $24,000. And that's $30 out of $35000 x baseline growth, not just $35,000.

It's mind boggling nuts. If you only make $2.4T a year, you should base your budget on $2.2T a year.
