So if I understand it correctly, if one is trained on the 717 but doesn't do their OE then you get paid the guarantee from your previous category while you wait?

How do we OE the LCA? Three bounces at 2am? Friends and family to the beach?

That was always fun stuff.

Once you're converted per your conversion month, you're officially making ALV at your new payrates. If you haven't started training yet, you're on vacation.

I already have a wife who thinks this. Don't need another.

Bidding the 717 might be a pretty good deal for those who want the summer off!

edit- and look at how much lower feb 2013 international flying is than feb 2012... yikes! That's not capacity restraint, that's complete shrinkage.
They also posted the fate of the 767ATL category. The news was very good. They plan on moving most of not all the flying to the 7ER category. There were lots of rumors on here of mass parkings of 757's this year and that the time on the 767ATL category would simply go away with the category closing. They also said there may be more then the planned 120 new CA's positions posted. Overall the only changes in this memo from the last few months were good ones. We keep the 767 time and may get additional 737 CA's positions. There are going to be a lot of new first time Captains on this bid.

I am sorry. The numbers are 213 a year ago and 203 for this January. I assumed they came back. I guess they resigned then?

Shhhh, the naysayers think otherwise. The plan is to park only 7-8 757's this year.

I find it interesting that we're being told more and more frequently what we need to bid. If I understand correctly, anyone that bids the 717 from the 9 is just not a team player.

And yet, it's a 365-day bid.

It would have to be a resignation, as no furlough bypass people can legally come back.

I agree that the ATL 767 flying going to the ATL 7ER is a very good thing. Excellent news.
