BHM is the place where I was saved from a mugging by my FO. We were walking back to the hotel from little five points when a group of dudes started to surround me. My FO started screaming for me to run!! I ran into the street in front of some moving cars which separated me from the thugs. This went down right in front of the hotel. The section 8 housing/dump that was near the hotel has since been demolished. There seems to be less thuginess but I still don't like that layover.

Probably just a bunch of drunk Auburn cheerleaders. They wanted to hoist you high. :D

Good seafood restaurant nearby though. Only redeeming quality of a BHM layover.
