Anyone know how to import your schedule from Navtech PBS to a google cal? Thanks.

That's a good point, but I bet it's not enough.

How would people around here feel if, we reduced DCI from 450 jets to 395 with zero CR2s? Another 3 way with us, Boeing and Bombardier but this time with 744s and 738s but provide some relief here and there, lower the MH:DH BH ratio and allow 70 more CR9s.

So 395 jumbo RJs but 0 small RJs and the cap is 395 not 450.

Remember 600 -> 450, it's all that mattered. Why not 450 -> 395 plus 744s and 738s?

I do not agree. Just looking at your schedule when you are on call does not obligate you to anything.

Get a friend to look.

Can't you just look at the daily trip assignments or does that leave a footprint as well. I rarely look at my schedule when I'm on reserr. Rather, I look at the DTA's to see what has been given out.

Yes, in Navtech select Tools>Export Schedule to Calendar Application. Select the month you want in the pop-up box and save the file to your desktop.

In Google calendars click the Gear Wheel and select Settings. Now select Calendars under the Calendar settings. Here there's a selection for "Import Calendars". It'll allow you to select your file you saved on your desktop. After you select it and hit OK it'll upload it your calendar and sync it to everything. You can delete the calander file off the desktop at this point.

One other trick I learned is to edit each trip and put the overnight cities in the title next to the rotation number. And, in iCrew highlight the rotation and copy it. Then paste it into the calendar description. That way if you have it sync to your phone you'll have a copy of the rotation.

Sounds a little labor intensive but it's really not. Takes five minutes maybe once a month.

Absolutely 100% incorrrect. If you do not fill out your password to acknowledge, you are not notified. They have to call you and you have to acknowledge via the method of your choosing.

We have 52% of SEA traffic. You have 11%. Our customer loyalty drove SWA out of the GEG-SEA, BOI-SEA and now PDX-GEG markets. When it comes to the PacNW, DAL recognizes you NEED us if your Pacific expansion is to work.

Remember the PDX-ATL MD-11 flying? I remember it was the preferred way to get to the East Coast non-revving because it was always DEAD EMPTY. Why? No Air Group feed from AS/QX. Looks like that feed was important enough that the codeshare allowed you to start serving Amsterdam and Paris from PDX.

Why do you say Alaska has a better inflight product than we do?

Because its a fact. I had a DAL jumpseater from MSP to SEA. When I asked him why he didn't take the DAL flight he said, "I like your service better."

Everything considered, I wouldn't get too excited about pulling the plug on the AS codeshare. You need us WAY more than we need you.

Nice overall picture of the option between the two aircraft. I think however you are off on two points. Maintenance on a 4 engine older design is going to be far higher then on the 777. An order of magnitude higher. Boeing is not going to cover it. The second is purchase price. Delta still holds a large number of 777 delivery positions. Typically Delta pays about 60 percent of list price so that puts the price in the 180 million range. Even with the demand for the 777 they are being sold at a deep discount to list price.

Aircraft are nearly always sold at around half the list price.

None of this makes up for the additional capacity and revenue generation of a whale, nor the extremely low purchase price payments.
