Elvis you should be commuting to NY on the ER. 0 hours and 0 RAW for Feb.
2) Anyone chasing the reserve beard on NYC ER is going to be disappointed after the displacements that are coming happen. |

I've been going backwards, atleast in category, for 3 years! Just compared 4/12 to 4/13 and moved backwards 25 numbers in category. I've moved up 251 positions company wide though....
Doesn't look like any improvement by this June so basically no movement in 5 years. Better than being furloughed, but I don't even like to talk to my buddies at Continental that were hired in 2008. In Nov 2009 there were 12273 pilots on the list now there are 11773. That is 500 less pilots on the list in roughly 3 years. |
All of us were synergized...
Same will happen at Ual and AA, although the Cal guys got a big AE in right before the sli which totally screwed the Ual legacy guys |
Yup. The CAL side advancement will be slowed/corrected with the SLI. They've merged the airlines, but not the pilot groups. All growth has been going to the CAL side, while the UAL side stagnates. I believe there are still 600+ furloughs on the UAL side. So those 500 vacancies on the CAL side can already be filled by furloughs returning.
And as time goes on UAL will begin to recognize synergies, and they'll go through the same things we are. I know they have more WBs then us, but it'll be interesting to see if they replace them all. I doubt they will. |

Bored so looking at some different cagegories today. DTW 320B has about 15 guys who are good for 1 day and most only have 1-2 SC's. Not a single one of them got put on SC and a green slip day trip goes out.

My understanding of the mechanics of it is: Recall letters go out in advance of hiring, giving guys a heads up that there is a window of time in which they can return. When hiring begins (and I would lump flow ups in this category) Bypass recalls come back with a flow up or new hire class. It probably is very possible to have the initial classes populated exclusively by furloughed pilots before anyone else. However, furlough bypassees can only come back while we are hiring.
If they sent someone a recall letter - That is PROOF of hiring at the same time. So would DL then be forced to take 20 CPZ + 9 Mesaba + X Pinnacle pilots in addition? IOW, would DL be forced to take 150ish? Or reduce the furlough bypasses offered recall? Or could the +100 furlough bypassers coming back demand additonal classes? If so, would that trigger more mandatory flows? I can't see DL being happy about that. If its even the slightest possibility, I'd expect them to put off hiring til the bitter end when it spools up permantly and that potentially volitile issue resolved itself. |

I'm the same relative percentage in my category as I was in June of 2008.
I can not hold the category I was in pre-merger at all :( Every time I forecast a displacement perfecta it turns out to be incorrect. Hope that continues. We really need for people who have been property for 6+ years to not be the "new hires." |
