Its to bad they don't use them.
By the way, are you guys getting robo call notified whenever a trip is assigned? Sometimes I do but most of the time I don't. |

Seeing it on your schedule is not considered notified if he did not acknowledge it. From "When Scheduling Calls"

I disagree completely. He didn't acknowledge anything. Until the assignment is acknowledged it does not exist. I look at my schedule all the time on reserve and I never acknowledge anything unless its on my last off day or to my advantage. If they don't call me, I'm staying home, and I'll be fully within my contractual rights to do so. To each his own though. It's probably not worth arguing about.

I do not agree. Just looking at your schedule when you are on call does not obligate you to anything.

Absolutely 100% incorrrect. If you do not fill out your password to acknowledge, you are not notified. They have to call you and you have to acknowledge via the method of your choosing.

Because they didn't notify him! Not his problem! Don't make this something it's not.
Thanks for all the corrections. I used to know the rules well, but they've clearly slipped. Looks like I need to knock the dust off my When Scheduling Calls book. :D Thanks again!!! :) |

Of course in the winter in super fat categories there's a bunch of guys with the perverbial grizzly Adams reserve beard never getting used, etc, but that is rare, only in a few categories and getting rarer. Upcomong displacements and summer flying will pick off most of the remaining survivors. |

When I reread what I wrote, what I was implying came across wrong I think. I don't see the need for Delta to get the 787 anytime soon. Maybe as a 767 replacement, but in the 2020-2025 time frame.
What I was trying to say is that once Boeing starts delivering the 787 in larger numbers, I would think that many other airlines that have the 767 and 777 will want to sell theirs or trade them in. Then, we can pick up some of those 767s and 777 for cheap. Maybe fly them for 10 years get a lot of use out of a used airframe - one who's MX and operating costs are well understood. Seems to be working well lately around here. |
Perfect. Thanks

Yes, in Navtech select Tools>Export Schedule to Calendar Application. Select the month you want in the pop-up box and save the file to your desktop.
In Google calendars click the Gear Wheel and select Settings. Now select Calendars under the Calendar settings. Here there's a selection for "Import Calendars". It'll allow you to select your file you saved on your desktop. After you select it and hit OK it'll upload it your calendar and sync it to everything. You can delete the calander file off the desktop at this point. One other trick I learned is to edit each trip and put the overnight cities in the title next to the rotation number. And, in iCrew highlight the rotation and copy it. Then paste it into the calendar description. That way if you have it sync to your phone you'll have a copy of the rotation. Sounds a little labor intensive but it's really not. Takes five minutes maybe once a month. |

No, I got all that the first time and I agree in principal (principle?) Anyway I was just waxing on and off about something I think BA should do (767-300ERNG) that I know they are never going to do. The line is staying open for the mil though, so you never know I guess.

Looks like that 717 won't be going too junior after all. 82 senior to upper 6900 seniority. Figure it's the junior m88A and lots of DC9 folks. My 9500 bud is gonna owe me a beer I think.

As you mentioned, they're keeping the line open for military production, and think they could pretty easily market a 76-3 ERNG. (I'm not an Engineer, so maybe the KC-46a is nowhere near what an "ERNG" would look like.) Good day, GJ Boeing: KC-46A Tanker http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/me...217-images.jpg |
