Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Doesn't sound right. If you read the redacted purchase agreements between Boeing and SWA, there is clear language that other 737 models can be substituted - and each msn has a deadline date for that. Also Boeing's 737 line flows based on orders and output and not on sub-fleet type.
Not to get too far off but there's plenty of loose talk at SWA of the 739ER.

As to the 900... 20 minute turns? You'll need two of those long over the wing jetways from Albany and even that might not do it.
Apparently the first flight of a DC-9 was 48 years ago today.
Pretty incredible that the thing is still flying people around in the USA.

It's worth pondering on an internet forum.
Alaska has 15 partner airlines, 13 of which are international flag carriers on the West coast. JetBlue has 23 partner airlines, 20 of which are international flag carriers on the East coast. DAL should probably get used to the international feed from AS and B6, rather than getting "miffed." My opinion only, but these partnerships will only continue to grow. Sucks for DAL, but reality, just more reason for DAL to buy Alaska and JetBlue, staple all the pilots and sell the pieces, then Gloopy could get some sleep (just kidding Gloopy).
SWA's unionized baggage folks just negotiated 40 minute turns in their new contract. Certain to torque off quick turn max-day pilots...SWA effect and all that.

LOOK BAR, they used to promote it.
Oh look, DC-9-10 when it was new!
Now you're making me nostalgic
PS- If NWA would have kept the original Hughes AirWest routes going and Delta the Western Airlines routes this whole discussion about Alaska would be a moot point. I wonder if Carl ever flew one of these?
