The first real test of the recently added PWA language efficacy will be when it comes to how PWA 1.E.8 applies to the VA JV....
I will be the first to admit that I was underwhelmed that all we managed to secure is 75% of Delta's share of the revenue to be flown by Delta pilots.
After all the Transatlantic JV secures nearly 100% of Delta's revenue share to be flown by Delta pilots.
Yet Delta purchasing a 49% financial stake in Virgin Atlantic is something completely different from any JV agreement we've had in the past. Here's what it says in the PWA when it comes to Delta's revenue share of JV and how that relates to what percentage of flying will be performed by Delta pilots:
Delta pilots should fly 55.8% of all DAL/VA JV flying
(per PWA 1.E.8 75% share of Delta's 74.5% JV revenue share)
If our NC can use 1.E.8 to secure 55.8% of the Delta Virgin JV flying for Delta pilots it will be a huge win and a big increase in WB Europe flying.
Cheers
George

Wait, what?
I'll bring Sec 23 d.2 up to the scheduler next time they assign me short call between ALV-2 and ALV. I'm not sure how closely they follow this or if the computer will allow them to do this. It seems I have to call them to confirm this, that it isn't necessarily automatic, and then they'll place FULL on my schedule for the remaining days as a reminder.
For those who use the Goodreader app as a supplement to their Air Locker pubs, it's working again using a different server. The Sugarsync server is no longer a free service, so our ipubs guru switched to the box server. Instructions are on www.ipubs.me. Username and password is published in the DALPA forums. I've found Goodreader to be much more user-friendly compared to Air Locker.
FTB, bid weekends off and then PD Wed. You will never fly but your pay takes a hit.
But hey we got a big pay raise in record time. Time value vs money.

Anyone who is bidding yellow slips during short months with lots of open time doesn't understand the system.
Okay, I'm asking this once a year but it's because I always just end up at McDonalds. If you're a cheapo but want good food, the best place to eat in DTW airport is...

So things I've learned in this 744 discussion. I had no idea we have the first 744 ever made?
N661US?

This planespotters thing shows we own 5 of the oldest 11 744s of which, 3 of the 11 are not even flying and one is cargo. So we have all 3 of the oldest passenger 744s and 5 of the oldest 8 passenger 744s.
So what do we supposed the net gain in 744s would be? What would it have been if it had been a 773 order?

There are only slight differences between 6301-6310, and 6311-6314. 15&16 are much newer, and are slightly improved still...

And if you are at the high end and fatigued, you are fatigued. If guys do what is right this will be self correcting. My guess is guys/and their spouses will like the sudden larger paychecks. Just like the ho's that fly max sched/max pickup every month. We are our own worst enemy and we wonder why we are not hiring
