Awesome movie. Awesome responsibility. I was fortunate enough to have flown one of the Repat missions during the 1990s when we brought home the remains of 5 US aviators from Hanoi (Ho Chi Minh City, whatever) to Hickam. Just five flag-draped coffins in the back of a C-141. I am too young to have fought in that war but my dad did. I remember how proud I was to be an American. I also remember, vividly, what a-holes the Vietnamese were about the whole thing. I had to pay them $20,000 in cash for landing rights at their God-forsaken airport.

Yes, it was complete BS. I posted it 7 days ago, and it still hasn't happened. Thus it does not meet the clear definition of a correct rumor.

I'll be careful not to post anything I hear again unless the source guarantees its occurrence within a few days.

Carl

I heard about the LGA slot swap thing a year and a half before it actually transpired. These things do take a while... if ever.

I'm choosing to believe that it will happen. :) I do love me some whales.

I have had multiple verifications of said rumor. That certainly means it will be shelved until after the GUM base is reality.

We left Saipan and headed to Hickam so yes there was a lot of incentive to leave Saipan. Aircrews only stay down in Tumon Bay, no more Q's. Also we were usually at the Outrigger Reef in Waikiki. Only the best for C-5 pukes :D

Why was the Airtran Sec-Treasurer using the new KCM checkpoint in Orlando, even though it doesn't serve his gates or even his side of the airport [or ours]. Guess you have to show it off. http://www.alpa.org/portals/alpa/fas...tory2.htm#jump

And who says the TSA doesn't have the best hair styles in town?

Going to need a lot more that that to bribe SWAPA into joining ALPA
