How about the first 30 minutes of Full Metal Jacket? Private Pile and the Jelly Donut scene is a classic!

I am a new hire. I was hired almost three years ago. My new hire class just lost a 3rd guy to Fed Ex. He couldn't wait on the Governor's decision. He decided to make a break for it. Run Forrest Run!

OR...if you don't want to end up looking like SD, you could go to the gym while you are waiting, and work on your Grunts! :D

Yet, the Hornet players, obviously thinking at a much higher level, saw that the super devious and conniving Lakers were far too smart to try something so dastardly simple. No, they knew Kobe and crew had developed a play that would test the best basketball minds in the world. Trained for years and paid millions of dollars to expect the worst, the Hornets had the best defense ready. Unfortunately, the Lakers one-upped them with an even more insane play--the evil "Throw-it-to-your-best-player-toward-the-opponent's-basket-and-score" play. Pure genius!

Yes this does make one wonder if they were watching backyard ball or "reel lif pro'fessonals" :D

Too bad there isn't a better way of doing things that would be more predictable, not only for bids, but for knowing when your training will happen and when your bid is effective.

Yes, I'm certain I've read about that somewhere before...

Which class? Sept 6th has lost 3 as well to SWA and Fedex. Patience Luke! Don't give in to hate!

I personally don't get the attraction to FedEx. Yes, they make more money than we do. A lot more actually. (Cue sailing to tell us "Yeah but when you add in the value of our non-rev benefits, we're way above them.")

But seriously, I really wonder about all that back side of the clock flying. Those guys age fast. I wonder if there have been any longevity studies on FedEx/UPS pilots. I don't think the results would be pretty.

I have several Fred Ex guys in my reserve unit. They agree...if you take away the money the job has a brutal side to it. The non-rev thing is a non-issue. They pick their favorite airline and wrack up frequent flyer miles. They commute extremely easy to their trips. Their company is growing. They are getting 757's and new hires are getting 777's off the street. Flanigan retires today and most of our seniority list won't ever see the 777 / 744. I get why these guys have left. If you want to fly big jets and travel the world, FX is a good place to be.
