Yep-and likewise, many guys at Fedex fly purely day domestic trips.
Yes, and reading the Fed Ex threads you need to be senior to do so. So it'll take years of back side of the clock flying to get there.

From a system perspective, we currently have a surplus of pilots. This bid will reallocate staffing by moving pilots to where we need them - 717, 73N and categories we feel are at risk for a high level of pilot attrition over the next two years. While this bid has a significant number of displacements in certain categories, we believe this will most likely be the last bid with large displacement-based staffing moves.
This bid has a net gain of 83 Captains and a net vacancy posting of 57. However, we do not plan on hiring to fill those positions.

Don't know how fast they'll take those 20 FOs off the maddog in ATL, but it could possibly mean some rolling thunder by August.

If the two pilot groups were integrated, it'd look worse then ours. 550 openings and 600+ UAL guys still on the street not working on the CAL side.

I bet I'll sit on the 717 in the same % as I do the 88, which pays more.
