FTB,
The control reversal on the B47 was due to structure flexing when flight controls being used. The wing would flex opposite aileron deployment, making the aileron a servo tab and the wing the aileron. That is an entirely different issue than the Airbus sudden reversal, which was commanded. The article though was about the rudder reversals and Va, I though it said B47 but maybe it didn't. I wish I could find it. But was that wing flex intentional? |

Question, please. I’m trying to go MSP-NRT with my family, and our schedule is pretty inflexible. I was going to buy tickets for all of us, but since I’m a cheap airline pilot, I thought about jumpseating. Can I ride the physical jumpseat if the cabin is full? If I reserve the jumpseat, is there any way I get bumped off? I know I have to crowd the cockpit for 10+ hrs; is that frowned upon? Unbearably uncomfortable? I’ve never seen the front office of the 777. Is there 3 jumpseats? I’m a Delta pilot, but I don’t know how the international operation works. Thanks in advance.
I just flew that leg last month. Only 2 jumpseats in the 777 and MSP-NRT-MSP is always scheduled with 4 pilots, so there is no extra cockpit jumpseat available, you would have to flow back, but obviously you can't flow back if the back is full. And then there's the wife and kids... We weren't completely full, but I think it was a Tuesday. Keep an eye on the loads and the weather in MSP, it was snowing when we left! It's not payload optimized, so if there are empty seats, you should get on. |
Of course LCPs get shat upon for saying what they were told at the LCP meeting last month... as being koolaid drinkers. I can tell you that the dots aren't hard to connect, and some of you are probably right on target.
I'll hang up and continue to be amused. |

Man! What's been going on with the market the last couple of weeks!?! I love it but I'm wondering when the other shoe is going to drop..... DAL stock is about 18.10.....WooHoo! What's it going to do for the rest of the year along with the rest of the market? Just curious what people think. See who has the best crystal ball! :)
Denny DAL is trying to get listed on the S&P. The 1st ever profit in the 1st quarter helps significantly. 4 consecutive quarterly profits is a minimum essential requirement. This is why DAL stock has bumped up. Expect it to bump back down 1-3 days after the S&P deal is announced... dyodd this is not investment advice. |

I'll hang up and continue to be amused. So I may be connecting the wrong dots here but, behold... http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...58602130_n.jpg http://www.cardatabase.net/modifieda...g/00012869.jpg |
The first wide body to go junior.

Wait, on an overnight wide bodies always go junior.

So, E190 captain at USair just went to February 2012 date of hire. Must be nice to have hiring and progression!

The only problem is there is excessive dottage around here.
