Not yet. He gave me the ok to spread the word though. He didn't have the details, or at least did not disclose them

I've heard it also might include getting the fleet RNP qualified as part of the deal.

By the time he added one direction to the stop, he already reversed it in the full opposite direction. The airplane barely has time to react to all that input before reversing direction.

Had you read the report, you would have found that the FO did not press the pedals all the way.. in fact it was about half way. However, at low speed the A300 fully deflects the rudder with the input he gave, which was not taught at AA. That is another reason why the A300 was named a contributing factor.

Oh I read it. He still stepped on them good, and at that speed commanded full rudder even if the pedal didn't reach the physical stop. The NTSB got it right in terms of probably cause, along with the contributing factors.

For those that are tuning in late. What's the rumor all about, which supposedly is a "done deal at the schoolhouse"?

A) Narrowbody order,
B) Widebody order,
C) All of the above. (hopeful)

Thanks in advance. This thread moves too quickly to go back & find the substantiated rumor. (Plus, I don't feel like reading all the posts about other people's pants.) :)

Question, please. I’m trying to go MSP-NRT with my family, and our schedule is pretty inflexible. I was going to buy tickets for all of us, but since I’m a cheap airline pilot, I thought about jumpseating. Can I ride the physical jumpseat if the cabin is full? If I reserve the jumpseat, is there any way I get bumped off? I know I have to crowd the cockpit for 10+ hrs; is that frowned upon? Unbearably uncomfortable? I’ve never seen the front office of the 777. Is there 3 jumpseats? I’m a Delta pilot, but I don’t know how the international operation works. Thanks in advance.

A) Yup, CRJ 900's are on their way
B) Maybe, but replacement from what I was told

Oh didn't you hear? Virgin Atlantic has agreed to give Delta a few of their landing slots at LHR, but at the cost of purchasing Virgin America. Anderson isn't too happy, but he likes the NEOs on order and will take them sooner this way.
