Scoop 5 years ago. The 717 thing I think started the day SWA announced it was acquiring AirTran and probably was alive if anyone had any intel that was coming. Didn't take a rocket scientist to figure that was going to happen. The incubation time on the 739 order was short though if I recall. So, if they're new I think we won't have much of a heads up. If they're used and abused we'll have the rumors floating for a while. If they don't need them right away then stretch the announcement out until we're closer to C2015 and let SJS kick in. On a different train of thought, without taking into account rasm, casm, prasm, acquisition cost, the desperate need to outsource and so forth, what does Delta want in a WB and NB at this point? Does a 748/773/744 > or < 330/772? 321 > or < 739? Any shot on the C Series or will that be outsourced? http://www.deagel.com/library1/mediu...0022500003.jpg And isn't Embraer putting new engines now on the E-Jet? |

I guess she needed a bath? But who takes a bath with their clothes on. Nothing makes sense this morning. The Delta widebody order link is all screwed up.
Oh well. Good news... Rochester, N.Y. - Beginning in July, Delta Airlines will upgrade to a bigger jet for service between Rochester and Atlanta. That means Delta Airlines will expand their daily non-stop service between Rochester and Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport by upgrading its fleet to planes that will offer 33 more seats per day. Senator Chuck Schumer asked Delta CEO Richard Anderson to add flights or capacity to the increasingly popular route. AirTran, the only other airline with non-stop service between Rochester and Atlanta, exited this regular route last month, as part of AirTran’s merger with Southwest Airlines. ---- BTW, is there a nice place to stay in ROC? Dinosaur gets kind of old after a while, or at least dodging the crowd between the hotel and there gets old as illustrated in this "path to the Dinosaur": http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps9f874a8d.png And I guess this Tattoo convention is following me around from ORF to ROC. ORF just kicked us to the curb and put us up on a long overnight at the airport. Which is not where you want to be. |

Since the Senator knows what planes need to go where, maybe he can encourage Mr Anderson to get more widebodies.
Delta agreed and purchased Virgina Atlantic. And then bought JetBlue, realized it made a mistake, and liquidated assets. Senator Chuck Schumer asked Delta CEO Richard Anderson to retain the JetBlue especially the pilots... why don't I stop there? |
