I think we should all chip in and buy Bar a birthday present:

Starting bid is $50,000

DC-9 Aircraft and Parts

Embraer books 'milestone' SkyWest deal worth up to $8.3 billion

Skywest's big order is discouraging, because most likely ALPA has promised management who has promised Skywest who has promised Embraer that they will find a way those can be flown for us. Above and beyond the myriad other 76ers that already are.

"We'll just promise them the time value of beginning the hiring process, or something like that. Don't worry, they are an easily swayed group. What, last time? Oh, they've already forgotten about that."

Welcome back Sailing...
Whatever plane it is, will this "overfly" contain any growth or will it just be shifting around existing capacity?

Maybe, but I think Eagle has a lot more to be worried about by this than we do. The only firm(ish) orders are for I think 40 E175's, the rest are options, and they are openly admitting the options are for future ACMI contracts. DL I think still has some room in the existing numbers to allow some growth in that sector, but their big score will be inking an expanded UAL contract and especially going big into the final feeder frontier before they go IndyAir and implode down the road...large RJ's for AA.

Fella,
Carl has far more credibility and goodwill built up here than you or I can ever hope to achieve.

It's best if you go back to mainlining your ALPA/company kool-aid (same flavor, I know) and enjoy your 7th short call and ALV +15 this summer. Oh, and your reworked summer bid periods (thanks, Scoop).

Maybe you should go back to insisting the company can't require us to disclose our medical records from our personal physicians. But wait! They can.

You do realize that the 7th short call only takes effect when FAR 117 does, which will be long after this summer is over?

Or do you just shoot first, and read the contract later?

Really?? Don't you think that if DALPA even started to think about loosening Scope the DPA (or something similar) would be voted in very quickly starting a ALPA death spiral?

Our days of Scope concessions are over and I sure hope that DALPA also realizes this.

Is that the only fault you find in his post?

We get a little foot rest and a partial curtain, but it is carefully engineered to not block out the light from the galley. ;-) The curtain goes from the wall behind us, behind the seat, and ends about as far forward as your ear on the right side. I am 6' 00, and it is not a comfortable rest seat for me. Because you are right up against a bulkhead, there isn't a lot of footroom to work with.

The seat besides can be occupied, it is supposed to be the last seat in BusinessElite that is occupied, so they can put upgrades in that seat. You have to climb over the person sitting next to you to get in and out, not easy but doable.

The range on the 757 is max at 8+30 or so, so the time in the seat is about 2.5 max. Those airplanes have IFE, so you can watch TV/movies if you want as well. The 757 rest seat is the least popular of the rest seats, that's for sure.
Thanks so much for the info. I had been given some contradicting into but figured I'd get the real scoop here.

Our 75-2's are all LieFlat equipped but we've been having a contractual battle over seat 4B. Contract states it will be the last seat occupied in the whole aircraft, not the last in BF.
(Probably a screw up from the company!)

Just wondering what everybody else was doing. And I wasn't aware that you didn't have LieFlats in your whole fleet yet. It does make for a nice rest~

Your fleet shows the LieFlats as being staggered. That should help with the climb over!

Always
Motch

Oh, and we range from 1:30 to about 2:30 rest.. depending on flights~
