Wow.

Just wow.

Do a google search to see how many firefighters die per year...just doing their "chosen job".

So that's your take on military service also right?
"a totally chosen profession. Not one of them was drafted into doing that job."

Between the uniform and the above comment you are totally off the reservation...

Cheers

Yup. This logic is an F and completely against the foundations of America. All I can say is "wow".

C'mon T. Out of bounds. While I agree that state pensions are running dry, don't blame the recipients. Many of them chose their profession because of the retirement guarantee. Didn't you factor that in when you applied at DAL?

The problem is that the government can back up those plans (so far) while private firms cannot, unless DC rolls in with aid. My biggest ***** with pensions is that Washington chose to not bail out the airlines but did choose to underwrite the auto industry. Over time, our country has chosen to write checks we can't cash. Don't blame firefighters any more then you would blame Marines or national park rangers or cops.

Question for you guys,

Friend of mine is on Delta furlough bypass and is seriously considering returning on this wave of hiring. Will he be seat locked 2 years into what ever equipment the company assigns him (like 717)?

Thanks

Yeah, there's lots of true romance in MNL too. And its not about the money. Amazing how many Phd's and MD's there are in Russia and the PI. Those girls...errr....woman just dig classy daddy types and are looking for true love and a green card. Nothing says suave and debonair like a double breasted Captains jacket (its probably really the hat). I bet they even meet you with a bouquet of flowers. Watch for the Adams Apples.....

No. The only thing that changed was the 15 to 10 percent below 2.5 billion... Never was 20% till that threshhold was reached.
