I can't afford Quality Tail, I've got to go with Volume!

That's my only investment that keeps right on growing.

Getting ready to head to Philmont with my son for two weeks of roughing it....Due to the previous statements regarding that miraculous white powder, I will announce my addiction prior to experiencing that magic carpet ride...being a Mad Dog Sevant, I have hardened myself to the lifestyle of "SWASS" (Sweaty *ss) and fumonda but now knowing about that cool, refreshing feeling is there to be had...its worth tangling with the dragon...now, if only I can find out what I did with my Tucks pads....

Hope your trek takes you up into the Valle Vidal... Best outdoor hiking experience I've ever had.
Philmont is an experience of a lifetime (two-time Philmont trekker), glad you can go with your son, my Dad was able to go on one of my treks and I'll always remember it!

Reserve Scheduling question:
I've been on call since the 13th and go until the 23rd. I have not had 24 hrs off free from duty yet. Not on a layover, not at home. When do I have to have it by? Is it sometime in those 7 days, or can it be the 8th day? SC today and SC again tomorrow with no rest and tomorrow is my 7th day.
I know they don't have to give it to me since I am on an international category and I just get restricted to International flights, but want to know when that restriction will kick in. Thanks in advance.

It kicks in after 6 calendar days.
After that, you have to have 24 hours off before you occupy a control seat.
ie = They could deadhead you to a 24 hour break but you would have to get it either at home or a hotel before you touch the controls.
FAR 121.471(d) provides:
Each certificate holder conducting domestic operations shall relieve each flight crewmember engaged in scheduled air transportation from all further duty for at least 24 consecutive hours during any 7 consecutive days.
FAR 135.265(d) provides:
Each certificate holder shall relieve each flight crewmember engaged in scheduled air transportation from all further duty for at least 24 consecutive hours during any 7 consecutive days.
In interpreting this provision, the "seven consecutive days" are calendar days while the "24 consecutive hours" are only 24 hours, which may extend over two calendar days. These are the old rules. I think it all changes real soon. The new rule I have no clue.
Meanwhile, here's some rather alarming pictures of Asiana's 777 as the salvage recovery effort got underway:

Clearing imigration in AMS our FWNA DC10 FA's were leading us through the passport guy when the British crew came up behind us, and said, " Nice of you to bring your Mum's along". Our FNWA Capt. promptly turned around to them and said,"when we are done ******* them we will **** yours too"! Suddenly followed by complete silence, and wide eyes, they didn't even respond and we cleared customs behind our Mums!
