Hmm, best get my resume polished up. Virgin America is sounding better and better all the time. Better go over to their thread and ask about health insurance.

Just stop. :D You just want to drive to work.

Funny I just heard same thing from SW management type last night. So this is second hand at best. I did not believe him at the time.

If true, Delta has known for quite some time according to this person. Explains delays, no hiring, not filling positions on 717. I have to give the company credit. They did a great job making us believe the 717 were going to come here on time. Hopefully, none of it is true.

When talking to training scheduling last week about me falling off the CQ turnip truck for the 88 his words were we thought you'd be in training prior to your CQ date but that's been pushed back. If I went before my must go month ended I'd been two months ahead of my conversion date so I don't know if a push back was for 88 pilot shortage or 717 delays or over zealous training ambitions.

Just a fwiw.

10. And I will push on the wager. As to the date, good luck getting that in writing anytime soon. 4 to 6 weeks?????

I don't buy it. RA doesn't take kindly to being messed with. Penalties or no penalties. I call rumor busted.

So...new "Pilot Sick Verification Form" is on the street.

In order for your sick time to be "verified," here's what you must provide some pretty personal health info to the company.

Once filled out, you must send it to the company via email. We have no idea who will be reviewing it, or who will have access to it (personal health information).

This is all absolute BULLSH!T. Don't want to give that info? Well, for your 5th sick call each year, they are contractually permitted to demand that info--and more--via your health records directly from your own doctor.

Another HUGE concession, not to mention an egregious breach of privacy.

None of the wording or requirements to "verify" sickness are contractual. I'm curious to see if ALPA allows this nonsense to stand. I'm guessing they won't make a peep.

If it's not contractual to verify sickness then don't do it.

I hope they're not delayed but I've heard several different rumors now that they will be.

And I don't see why it'd bother RA. The planes are coming after summer, they'd get money for it and they'll probably get relief on section 1 since they've already acquired the 76 seaters.

When Obama reads that you wrote that, the IRS is going to audit your [three letter word]. :D

A Tsquare and Carl beer summit?
