FYI they are still doing interviews I am a new hire myself and today while on the train in Denver terminal we met a guy that interviewed today going home. They are really short fo's and I keep timing out 30/7. Also I have 2 friends that just got hired one is scheduled for July class and the other in August. Good luck and keep ur stuff up to date. United is a great company with a lot of movement.

Hopefully posts like that will show up soon on the L&G thread. I'm sure ready to read em'!

Delta Pilot gives up seat for me! - FlyerTalk Forums

I got to the airport early and was put on the standby list for an earlier flight. A uniformed pilot was also on the list commuting to ATL for work. I got the last seat and he had to wait for the next flight. Another uniformed pilot took the cockpit jump seat. He did not help me with my bag though.... Pretty much every time I fly stand by, a nice Non Rev gives up a seat for me. Since the CEO got his own thread, I figured I start one for all the other employees who fly all the time and rarely as space confirmed...

A far cry from the days of our CFO getting limo'd to the flight with his family bypassing security to kick off first class passengers who'd already boarded...

That's right, FTB. And there is no way SWA has FO's making more than our Capts, because they are SWA and fly only 737s and we are mighty Delta.

There's also no way Alaska has taken over our western US flying, because they only exist to feed our international flights from Seattle.

And there's no way DL customers have had bad service on DCI, because "our customers prefer those mainline jets with 70 or more seats" according to RA.

There is no way we are falling behind any other airline, because "look at US Air"....oh crap, they are hiring and growing. "Er, no, American"...no, they are hiring as well. Even with their combative independent union.

"Well, things are horrible in the cargo world"...unless you like making 180k your second year and having an A fund.

"Don't worry about GOL, they only fly inside Brazil"...they are just firing up their international routes now...expect to see them flying DL widebody pax in the future.

"We have a scope improvement opportunity!"...lumping in another airport to help management meet their numbers? Really? Next time I sign a contract, I'll try that one. I'll promise to pay a $500,000 for a house. Then, at closing, I'll bring $400,000 and ask them to count another hundred sitting in my 401k as the rest of the purchase price. And if the sellers are ALPA, they will say yes, thank me, and offer to renegotiate the terms if the value of my 401k ever decreases.

"Well, the out of balance Atlantic flying will be fixed in our favor any day now"...yes, they will start to begin considering a way to form a committee to find a way to think about meeting their contractual obligation around the time my grandchildren are born.

It hit the end of its service life before it could make the gate.

Bravo! Very nice. Little humor after spending all night parting with the newborn.

That just happened.
