I really hope you've never taken a water bottle off the plane to your room out of the country, too. A superior sense of morality rules over diarrhea.

There isn't any FAA requirement to have the emergency exit window shades up for take off, is there? I'm not making a case for or against the policy; just trying to determine if it's up to individual airlines or not.
