Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Hey T. I'm all for LBP. How do you propose we change to this way of paying pilots without any pilots taking a paycut? And at what longevity you propose we stop 12? 25? 30? Pilots are not going to want to change to this unless it's beneficial to all of them, and neither will Delta.

That is the difficult part. The transition. I think WB/NB is a good starting point. I would say a 40 year payscale because one can get an ATP at (basically) 25 and work to 65. That's 40 years. In this environment, nobody needs a paycut. Some might get a bigger pay increase than others.. but nobody takes a paycut.
Hey for you car lovers, my kids lovee the show called How It's Made and they've had a separate show the last few weeks on How It's Made Dream Cars. Porsche, Ferrrari and other high end stuff. Everything from raw materials to entire care. Sci channel.
Just have one question... Ferrari FF? Thoughts?
[ps I don't fit in any of these, I'm more interested in an F-150 XLT vs the higher end F-150s and maybe F-250s, then you've hit my car limit]

That's how I figured out how to land the DC-9

I read this, and had to make a comment. You don't like what our union is doing to our careers? Are you really angry? Well, do something about it! Run for office! Do some committee work! If you haven't done anything, I can only assume that you're either too lazy, or too risk averse to run for a position.
Like the other keyboard commandoes, you do nothing but sit on the sidelines, throwing rocks at the people who are actually trying to improve our prospects. Do you really think that you can effect change while sitting in your boxers in your hotel room, hammering away on a keyboard?
Despite what you may think, what is said on this board doesn't alter the course of our union. To even a greater extent than the ALPA message boards, this is becoming a forum for the disaffected outliers. Rational, balanced views are met with criticism and personal attacks.
Do you actually wonder why so many people have left this forum? I used to be on here frequently (back in the ACL65 days, when there was good information to be found here). Now, this thread is worth no more than an occasional drive-by. There still are some worthwhile posters on here (no, you're not one of 'em), but their voices are being drowned out by too many keyboard commandoes.

The point is if FTB doesn't put up a chart or graph every so often his mind starts thinking about coriolis effect, or if all the old unused New Coke is stored in that shut down, half-completed nuclear waste facility in Nevada, and those thoughts result in him doing things like missing crosstie relay messages on the OAP as he takes the runway. It's better for everyone involved if we just give him a hearty, "Nice chart!" and not stymie his creative thoughts lest we dare risk his mind going to places it shouldn't.
The other part of my point regarding LBP is that more than the lucky few that happen to have been hired young.. and happen to be still here... and happen to be one of the 500 captains on the 777/747 will make more money. But somehow, I guess that is a bad thing...
