For those with a superior sense of morality that believe that commuting is a choice and taking the soap from the hotel is stealing... I figure we needed to further that discussion tonight. Every time you go to the bathroom in flight, that costs DL money in lav juice, power spent on powering the toilet, and of course you'll be needing to steal company soap to wash your hands after.

That is the difficult part. The transition. I think WB/NB is a good starting point. I would say a 40 year payscale because one can get an ATP at (basically) 25 and work to 65. That's 40 years. In this environment, nobody needs a paycut. Some might get a bigger pay increase than others.. but nobody takes a paycut.
How do you propose moving to LGP without someone getting a paycut? The total pilot payroll will not change because we want a new pay system. That's where the idea of longevity pay falls apart. For every pilot that gets more money, another pilot will get less. |

For that matter, you should make sure to fully evacuate yourself in the terminal before each flight to ensure the aircraft is operated as light as possible. Especially on longer flights; the fuel savings is multiplied.

I want to salute all you regular line holders in NYC ERB for green and white slipping this weekend so I can enjoy the beautiful 80 degree weather on the beach in Cali with friends and family!! High Five!! Wonder why we need reserves at all.

They should close the employee restrooms. Let the folks who work there endure the same humiliation as the customers who we count on for our survival as a Company. We are not going to win New York if we can't design for and monitor the basics of handling people. Complete and total fail. |

The four mens toilets in T4 at JFK for were all clogged and overflowing Friday. Turds were on the floor. I returned to the parking lot, threw my shoes away and drove home. I am disappointed in our JFK fix. The design is very poorly thought out. T3 was better.

Delta has probably already signed the note for them. But just in time for C2015, the Delta/ALPA coalition will tell us we absolutely MUST give up 100 seat scope to get them. |
When do the negotiations begin for the next contract?

I guess they thought for some reason we'd be in negotiations on a fleeting opportunity this year. Actually, I guess we still have a half a year left to see if that comes true. But before we do any contract negotiations we have to do our surveys. I'm looking forward to that. :p |
