Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
So, what's the over/under on late July early August advance entitlement prospects? Will it include spots for new aircraft announced after the BOD meeting in late July? Or are they holding off on aircraft orders until the fall/winter timeframe? Surely someone on here has some insider information. Also, the announced 250 new FA's to be hired this fall and hiring continuing into next year for "new mainline flying" is all over the Deltanet. Are they training them to be pilots also?
So far they've been unable to do that.

As I read the contract, if you called out sick for a trip. Then called in well during the last day. You still get paid or you can fly a trip for sick credit. Will it effect a GS?

There would have to be 30+ year fences in order to keep those hired at DAL in 2008+ and now in their 30s from suffering irreparable harm as it relates to flying as widebody CA the last 5 years of their careers. Something like fences off all wide bodies until the current most junior DAL pilot retires.

The new agreement is just an extension of their "old" agreement that has been in place for over 10 years. Over that time, there has been many times new routes were added/replaced that their code was out on each other's routes. AK is the KING of playing both sides, and guess what, it works for them.
IMHO, AK has overplayed their hand. They will be had....by somebody. I hope its not us. If it is, so be it. If I were them, I'd much more appreciate a DAL acquisition to an AA/US Air/Cactus/TWA abortion.
I can tell you this. We brought AK over to Terminal 6 in LA. We have the tunnel to our terminal 5. There is no tunnel to AA's terminal 4. Recently, we have started using AK's terminal 6 gates (just did it tonight, or last night). We're thick as thieves.
I'd much rather merge/buy Hawaiian. I see Alaska as our next opportunity, however.

The Roberts Rule created a great deal of animosity at NWA. I suggest we avoid a repeat.
