So, what's the over/under on late July early August advance entitlement prospects? Will it include spots for new aircraft announced after the BOD meeting in late July? Or are they holding off on aircraft orders until the fall/winter timeframe? Surely someone on here has some insider information. Also, the announced 250 new FA's to be hired this fall and hiring continuing into next year for "new mainline flying" is all over the Deltanet. Are they training them to be pilots also?

Our reps are good guys but they still need to learn how to say no to Lee Moak.

So far they've been unable to do that.

As I read the contract, if you called out sick for a trip. Then called in well during the last day. You still get paid or you can fly a trip for sick credit. Will it effect a GS?

Would never happen. Easier to throw incentives/money/stock to the entire group and put up fences that protect guys for 10 years. No one much cares what the bottom 25% of Delta thinks for the next 5 years. /truth

Obviously, you are not LAX based. The times they are a' changing. Gate kungfu, new DAL mainline up and down the west coast, etc. The AK roulette is coming to a head. They may have been KING at one time, RA is calling their hand as we now fly mainline from SEA and PDX to LAX. Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice, FU.

IMHO, AK has overplayed their hand. They will be had....by somebody. I hope its not us. If it is, so be it. If I were them, I'd much more appreciate a DAL acquisition to an AA/US Air/Cactus/TWA abortion.

I can tell you this. We brought AK over to Terminal 6 in LA. We have the tunnel to our terminal 5. There is no tunnel to AA's terminal 4. Recently, we have started using AK's terminal 6 gates (just did it tonight, or last night). We're thick as thieves.

I'd much rather merge/buy Hawaiian. I see Alaska as our next opportunity, however.

Next 25%=1985-1996
Next 25%=1995-2000
Bottom 25%=1998-2010

You can if you are willing to resurrect the Red/Green wars of NWA. Also, don't forget that any newhires after such a decision would be considered Delta hires and thus outside the fence. At some point they would begin jumping the Alaska guys into the widebodies, depending on how things were structured. There were repeated arbitrations up North as the fleet mixes changed. It was a mess.

The Roberts Rule created a great deal of animosity at NWA. I suggest we avoid a repeat.

There is a tunnel. The airport authority hasn't decided to reopen it yet.

Because AA doesn't want to pay for it. The truth is in the details.
