Airline Pilot Central Forums - Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

While it seems to be going in the direction of pilot error, it is still very early on in the investigation. I know after the BA crash people were saying the same thing days after the investigation.

That being said, there a plenty of links in the chain leading to the accident. Fortunately most were saved, who otherwise would have perished as a direct result of the cabin crew, fire fighters, rescuers, and, last but not least, a durable Boeing product.

All good points... Didn't it come out very quickly that the engines weren't responding to TL commands, though?

Might of, thought it took a few weeks, but can't really be sure.

I'm curious to see what the CVR reports come out with.

Still having a hard time believing that this may ultimately come out to an approach-to-landing stall.

Keep up your statements boys. I just hope none of you heroes who are quarterbacking this accident end up on the other side of this equation someday. But it can't happen to me, right? says the innocent pilot with the little evidence released by the NTSB.

What is being speculated to have happened was done nearly identically by an NW crew a few years back... Similar without the impact has happened more recently. No one is throwing rocks. Understanding what AT mode you're in and what to expect is critical. Most importantly... fly the dang airplane.
