It IS surprising Boeing went as far as to paint them .... one would figure Boeing would have realized much sooner in the process that structural parts were missing and donated them to museums, or trade schools.

Wonder if it wasn't until the fastener issue was discovered that they learned bonded structural members were absent? Or maybe Boeing figures they will eventually engineer mods and finish them.

Some of the ANA airplanes in use are flying with structural reinforcements which of course add weight.

Things that make you go, hmmmm.

Trying to develop it's own FF program, already accepts one airline ... Delta.

Needs a hedge against ULC competition.

Third largest Japanese carrier and based in Haneda ....

Looking for ExPat Captains $163,000 a year with JP taxes and health insurance paid. You know, Delta's got a bunch of First Officers who meet their quals ... we used to crew an operation out of Narita with Asian cabin staff, just sayin....

Bingo!! Then United demanded cheaper prices from them so the employees took concessions, & UAL still kicked them to the cutb. Same happened with ACA.

By gum, do you mean Guam or a base predominately staffed by senior CAs? :D

Sorry, I have no idea on the 787 problems except the battery fire issues. Last I knew the 787 was flying with the "fix" of the battery problem by Boeing. Now there are structural issues? What flight incident was this? The only one I know are the Japan battery fire.

Straight from an SC engineer, they are bogged down with teeny-tiny write-ups, which end up being 5g fixes and time killers..most of the help is shade tree.

I wonder if Boeing can recycle the carbon barrels (fuselages) that aren't right?

I've never heard that you can recycle carbon fiber anything once it's baked, it's done. Another advantage for aluminum.

So...I guess they'd have to 'fix' what ever doesn't fit (adding weight as BB said) or scrap them completely? Wow.
