FWIW, as of Last week they were still planning an AE in Aug with a moderate backfill. Either on that award or a clean up award. 777 mostly to ATL.

Yes. A few months later. The have done this in the past if they have not totally backfilled on the AE. The reason to do a clean up AE is this. They may not want to award positions that are not needed for the summer 09 schedule. When that is known they may offer another clean up AE.

Well, hopefully in a few months they'll start looking at apps again. That would be nice, I have couple good internal recs at DAL and it would be great to get on them. Even if it means a BOS LGA commute.

Word is there will be an AE in Aug, the unknown is what will be available other than the 777. The last one had no backfill but this one may have other opportunities.
Apparently we confirmed another 2 777-200LRs and the RUMOR remains interviews in the late fall early winter timeframe. Stress the word RUMOR though source is well placed. |

Does that mean we now will get 8 total 777s to be delivered? Does anyone know if true what the delivery timeframe will be?
Jan 31 - 3 Feb 28 - 1 Mar 31 - 1 Other two I can't find in writing yet. |
What about retirements of the Mad Dogs? Any numbers on that?

I was reading in the Shuttle Office at LGA that DAL won several government contracts for the next two years. I believe US Air had them before. This could be good to help us weather the storm.
