Good. I have three people junior to me in SLC.

Max,

I guess it's obvious by your avtar and handle that you're a MaxJet refugee. It's good to see that at least some of you guys are getting picked up, and relatively quickly. Welcome aboard.:D

Good deal rvr. Thanks again - As I mentioned before I may be eveyone's hero if I bid a 7ER early and not "nab" a ATL, CVG or LAX slot. I honestly think a DFW-JFK commute might be much easier and less stressful than a DFW-ATL one! Lot of those senior DAL folks around here... must be a nest!

I know you would be my hero! ;)

What kind of beverage would you like?

I hope those LAX and SLC spots keep comming.

we can work it out on the 17th!;)

I'll also be willing to provide adult beverages for anyone senior to me in the 17th class who bids to allow me into CVG or ATL. :D

S2 vs S3

I just booked my first Non-Rev.
How do I use S2, it never asked me?

I'm assuming I'm on an S3 by default.
I'm guessing I can tell the gate agent "S2 me Baby" and then I'll get bumped in front of all the other S3s?

Appriciate the help.

Unless the gate agent's a huge guy who's nametag reads -"Tank!"
Then you might say "S2 me sir?" instead!?... :D

Sorry, it's Friday night and I'm drinking tea, what can I say!?

When you check in at the Kiosk it will ask you if you want to use your S2's or not? (Like you said it defaults to S3)

I think the S2's only work for mainline, but I could be wrong. Check out TravelNet and they've got a FAQ section about non-reving.

S2s work for mainline and DCI. From past experience I would not use my s2s, (limited) unless absolutely necessary. You have a limited number and if you non-rev a lot you may use then up and then not have them when you really need them.
If you request S2 status on a flight after you have used them up you will be charged a penalty fee.
Fortunately there's enough to do a couple of vacations and have a couple left over for commuting.

Thanks Fellas,
That helps

You have 6 S-2 flight days per employment year, meaning pretty much you have 3 roundtrip per employment year, counting from your date of hire.
