Hey guys, I have been looking all through this thread for the website address that someone posted that showed video examples of the cog test....anyone have it?
I may have been going through the pages too quick but I could not find it! Thanks guys I came across this Cogscreen PDF file. http://www.defence.gov.au/health/inf..._2_1_29-36.pdf There are several examples of the tests in there and there is a great post by Bleagle (use the search) outlining the test as well here on APC but I don't think its on this L&G thread. If you can't find it, PM me. Good luck in ATL, I'm there next week as well. |
For the Cog test, sign up with Lumosity.com for their free trial. The tests aren't identical to the cog screen, but they're the same general idea: use your brain on a computer-based test.
I'm sure that doing the Lumosity program helped me. |
DAL Interview Dates Slip
For all those pilots with upcoming interviews with Delta, Brian B. asked us to pass on the words of interview dates slipping. Please note that due to Capt Kraby's family issues and interview pilots needed to fly the line, that interview dates will need to be slid a bit. Please pass the word to all interviewees to not sweat the delays. There is no issue other than availability of Delta folks to do the interviews. Good Luck All?

Anybody who's had an interview... did the inverviewer look at your training records from your current carrier. I won't have mine from my company for the interview... will that be a problem? Oh yes... have had no failures, re-checks or bad marks...

Quick question. I'm in the Mar. 17th class and trying to figure out what to bid (assuming my SS starting with a "9" will still afford me a bit of options!?...)
Living in Dallas and probably going to be stuck with a commute (at least for the near future.) So, if I wanted to do JFK vs. LAX which option do you think would be a better commute (assuming I have the option to bid Boeing A/C in either coast). I have a buddy at JetBlue who's been commuting for a couple years from DFW now and he's always made it to work. Don't know anything about the commute from Dallas to LAX though? Also, anyone hear any rumors about what the breakdown might be for the 17th? Still going to be a fairly good amount of 7ERs and MD88s in JFK to nab? I'm wondering if Monday's class will be indicative of anything? Anyway, any help would be appreciative, thanks! |
Baloon,
Hopefully some Dallas guys will chime in as I can't really tell you anything from personal experience. What I've heard from guys I've flown with: DFW - ATL can be a nightmare commute. You probably were already aware of this, but with the DFW base closing seems that most of those folks (pilots & FAs alike) went to ATL so there is heavy competition for jumpseats and plenty of nonrevs to boot. DFW - JFK. I've flown with a few guys and gals up here who come out of Dallas and they say it's do-able. Not the easiest in the world was my take from their stories, but not the worst either. DFW - LAX. Not a clue. I've personally never talked to anybody who commutes from Dallas, or anywhere east of there who commutes out to LA, though I'm sure they exist somewhere. Seems to me that the bulk of the LA guys are west coasters, or at least mountain states and points west. |
Fellas,
Can we Non-Rev on Delta Connection flights? Thanks |
