My in-laws neighbors bought one of the originals. It's actually a compound pharmacist near me. I have no idea how much or the specs, I think though it was around $100K or $150K and its autographed by the cast or something. Anyways, it evidently has a very very loud engine and when it comes rumbling through Elijay people come running.

I guess you could have a fancy sports car worth twice as much but it'd never turn heads like that thing does. Especially in Gawga.

The owner told me once that the problem with the car is people have no concept of what "don't touch" means. Fingerprints, palmprints, try to sit on it, I'm sure they try to get in it etc. But I saw that once doing a "show" with the Embraer Legacy.

I was standing outside talking to customers and went inside to see folks sitting on a $35K table top, one woman had reclined the seat back and was sitting on the top of the seat, wine was every where, etc. The magazine people who were putting on the event thought that was fine, relax, don't worry. I was so mad, if I recall, I think we kicked everyone out and locked the airplane up to the frustration of the hosts. Just because you have money doesn't mean you're not straight up trash. It was also not uncommon to have corporate pilots just walk on the plane to check it out without asking. The best was the police department who did it with muddy shoes on an nearly white carpet. People suck.

One last question, how do you bid for Golden days. I called scheduling and he said it is under PCS, but I do not see anything for Golden days. I also checked on PBS, no joy. What am I missing.

It's in Icrew under "bids" tab. Select "Initial Bid" from the drop down menu and there there is a "bid reserve golden days" tab.

Very interesting indeed. I'd put it even sooner as the last of the 757's hit the desert in 10 years or so, and the routes that only they can do will be in peril sans a true replacement.

A little off topic, but... Can one of you guys get me my medical back? All this family time is driving me insane! After 15 years of being gone 4 days a week, full time at home is too much work!
