I saw your post and wanted to thank you all of the APC people for your kind words over the last week. Needless to say, this has been the worst week of my life. Both Delta Air Lines and ALPA have done everything you would expect and more. I feel like I have three support groups, my family, my Delta family, and my ALPA family and they all have kept me able to get up in the morning.

One of the hardest moments was the juxtaposition of cost and value. She just bought a house 4 months ago and while she was saving up for it she was driving my old car. Since she was a little messy, I was cleaning up her car before giving it to charity. I found this old sweater that she wore just about every day. I can picture her now wearing that sweater at the front door (it is glass) stopping over after work. It was from Old Navy and probably cost $25 brand new and was now worth about $1.50 at a yard sale.

So I have a car still worth thousands, despite it's age, and a sweater with no monetary worth at all. Guess which one I am giving away and which one I will have until the day I die.

The bottom line is I am shaky. Most people that have worked with me know that the tougher things got the tougher and meaner I got. Now I just feel off balance and trying to get my feet back. You could do or say anything to me and it just rolls off my back, but my daughter, that has knocked me like nothing else.

I hope this doesn't drag people down, but sometimes writing things down makes me feel better.

Hang in there - there are lots of people praying for you - in things like this the Delta Family still exists.

Been using one for several years. Works great.

All you need to get in the lounge is a seat OR jumpseat request.

The card will reimburse up to $200 a year of airline expenses. That doesn't work for tickets or GoGo internet, but it does work for the $50 non rev fee and inflight snacks. The card will also reimburse you the $100 fee for Global Entry. Even if you don't fly international (yet) the Global Entry also allows you to do TSA Precheck, which is almost as good as KCM.

The Amex Platinum card is one of the best purchases I ever made. There are a ton of other benefits that come with card. Try it for a year and you will not be disappointed.

Between the $200 annual credit on Delta, the $100 for Global Entry/TSA pre check, and access to lounges the annual membership fee is practically gone. I think I'm signing up.

Amex Platinum

I've got a NO-FEE American Express card for years since just after college. I don't want to screw up and get rid of that and upgrade to something with a fee, only to change to it and decide I don't want it, and be unable to go back to the good deal that I think I currently have.

Anyone know off the top of their head if I could have two Amex cards at once? I'm about to start the Global Entry signup process, so I'll definitely be looking into this.

I have the AMEX Platinum card and the free AMEX Blue Cash card. No issues having 2 AMEX cards at once

I see where Hawaiian is operating a 767 LAX to LIH and KOA next summer. More HA codeshare in our future? Either way, it's going to kill yields on those routes.

Is there a place on the dlnet site to signup?
