Great series though, the Cards are good, the Sox were better last night.

And Thank You, STL, for flying Delta!

I wonder if we'll have the Cards contract next year..,,

So... I'm hearing there is an ALPA push for the first RAW score bucket to go to 100?

As long as we are flying it, pure awesomeness. A wide body turboprop.

And this is so a few senior guys can grow "reserve beards" all winter?

Not saying you are wrong, but where did you hear it. ALPA can't win. On the one hand many of the more junior guys want to lower the first bucket to 50-60 or so (which I tend to agree with), while a few months ago at an ATL LEC meeting some other guys were proposing that we do away with the bucket system period AND the RAW system so that senior guys wouldn't ever fly unless all the junior guys, no matter how much they flew, simply weren't available.

You certainly can't please all the pilots all the time!

Right after we bring back the 7th week of touch drop vaca and the domestic 76 cat in ATL.

Funny thing is, the whole sales job of the bucket thing to begin with was that guys were getting burned because of a single RAW point. So we created very large buckets, yet kept SC separate thus insuring everyone in a small category was always number one for something. Large categories saw a brief return to the entitled glory days of seniority on RSV = never flying for full pay (never did understand the reasoning behind that...top lineholders don't get ful AVL for flying 2 days a month, why should RSVs?) at least in the larger cats in valley months.

That is going away for many as we get short by design especially in large categories and double especially since we gave away the peak 31 day months (easily the single biggest and most understated concession in the current contract) so there is a push by the microclimate guys to reclaim some of that entitlement. Why wouldn't they try though? I don't think there is the political mandate to push it through though. Even if its rammed through in the dark of night, there will be more than enough political smash to reverse it, and maybe even shrink the buckets below the current thresholds as well as inclusion of SCs.

As long as the schedulers can play short call shenanigans, it does not too much matter what your raw score is.

Add that to the fact that my take home pay is the same or slightly less than it was three years ago and I'm about to join the incoherently foaming at the mouth "this completely sucks" crowd.
