The insurance plans for next year are available for comparison. Out-of-pocket numbers, of course, are UP.
I couldn't find any info on the DPMP on the generic, company-wide site. Anyone know where next year's premiums are listed? It might be time to take a look. Has anyone switched from an account-based plan into the DPMP? If so, how did it work? Thanks! |

AND it sounds like out smooth merger has been a big factor in making their jobs easier. :)
On one hand, we're ahead of our peers and have played ball better than our peers. And on the other hand, we shouldn't expect to be paid more than our peers. Well, which is it? (not directed at newK specifially). |

None of that stuff in the article matters a whit to us if we're unable to capitalize at the bargaining table.

HA, some of us have businesses or sugar momma's, how else were we going to finance this flying hobby.
I don't save for retirement either because my business provides enough cash flow to take care of that issue. |

I know, man. I'm just trying to figure out how old my next used minivan is gonna be.
I'm watching a 2001 Ferrari Modena 360 convertible at auction. It has about 20k miles on it. It's gonna sell around 55k. My friends with ferraris spend waaaay to much shop time on their cars though. 55k is cheap for that car. It has about the same performance as one of my turbo mr2s and it never breaks. |

I don't know, the premise is we're going after UAL but the DOJ was probably spot on when they said in their complaint against the AA/US merger that airlines no longer compete. They match prices and they don't encroach on territory. That article mentions us bowing up in JFK and UAL owns New York. Nobody, nobody, nobody owns New York. UAL has a great thing going with owning all of EWR but DAL counters with LGA/JFK where it's always been. If NY was a small market then okay, but split that thing from the City left and to the City right, you can have 2 massive airports and still have room for a LGA. In fact, NYC and LAX, neither of those are truly owned by one airline, ORD/ATL/MIA/IAH/DFW/SFO etc, have strong presences by one airline and probably wouldn't be penetrated by a competitor. LAX might be changing because of a changing relationship with Alaska too with Delta's expanded footprint in SEA not necessarily going after UAL in SFO or LAX. I don't think it's about beating up on UAL because of their woes. DAL seems to be more interested in itself and playing the game of airline collusion. But as the article points out, if UAL is going to strike back against DAL, bad move. Seems DAL's moves are well protected strategic moves not tactical moves. |
