Just went back and re-read the email, and noticed the subject line:
DPA CREW VAN NEWS - FBI on the Case
This reads like a bad Nancy Drew teaser, or maybe something that Scooby & the Gang should pursue instead of the FBI...
You really can't make this stuff up. Or maybe you can?!?

Simple question Bar. What if I as a DPA supporter wanted to help my cause along by hacking into ALPA national's website, redirect it to a fake site that denigrated ALPA, then disconnected the funding link to the ALPA PAC. Would you argue to ALPA that they shouldn't investigate it because old Carl might get in legal trouble?

This is an excerpt from the last Crew Van News on 11/15. Bolded part is my highlight:
Ignoring the dramatic closing quote, it seems that Tim already forgot what he wrote last Friday. The entire piece tries to paint the picture that we should be forgiving of this individual. He even finishes with a little foreshadowing that "it depends on whether or not we can resolve the situation peacefully and ensure it doesn't happen again."
I guess an alleged personal call wasn't enough to satisfy Tim's bloodlust for ALPA. He demanded a public shaming instead, and has now chosen to put the Feds "on the case."
Is that about right Carl? Just want to make sure I'm getting this correctly.
ITEM 1: Hacking Update
We discovered today that last weekend's attack disconnected the link to our secure credit card transaction facility. The redirect of our URL simply broke the link to our account and those that tried to donate to DPA using the 2nd option received an error and could not enter their contribution. No data was compromised since we do not store data on our site, but no donations were received either.
The Donation Link has been restored and IMMEDIATELY donations began coming in. Because we have now been possibly harmed financially, the importance of completing this investigation properly just went up. We are dealing with a possible felony that could even result in time behind bars for those responsible. Having said that, we are moving forward with legal action to get to the bottom of the "WHO" and the "HOW". What we already know gets clearer every day.
A big decision will emerge when the name of the individual is confirmed. If it is a Delta Pilot, should we prosecute or forgive and forget? If that person takes responsibility, can we (all Delta Pilots) move on and allow them to finish their career without being ostracized? DPA believes Delta Pilots are professional enough to take the long view in the matter. We realize that this is just a campaign and at times, people make poor decisions and DPA leadership is susceptible to that problem as well. We haven't run our campaign perfectly, ALPA has made their mistakes as well and everyone can fall prey to escalating emotions. DPA believes we should be able to shake the hand of even the most ardent supporter of ALPA after we win and move on unified as Delta Pilots. It all depends on whether or not we feel we can resolve the situation peacefully and ensure it doesn't happen again.

Care to actually answer, or are you on your way to radio silence for a while.

So let me get this straight DPA has this down to a few pilots instead of reaching out to these pilots they turn it over to the FBI. How about a phone call to these guys with a simple cease and desist from TC or one of the other leaders. If you were able to narrow it down to pilots on layovers in ATL you could surely figure out how to reach them. A simple phone call stating that if this continues they will turn this over to the authorities would have stopped this.
Funny thing is TC had his but saved by the same organization he now vilifies. Can't wait to see how DPA handles a pilot who gets in trouble with management.

Carry on.
