Going from reserve in December to a line in January. If a reserve assignment at the end of Dec. makes a trip scheduled in January illegal to operate, what's the pay consequences?
The specifics are I have 3 reserve days at the end of dec and 6 days of work starting on the 1st, which violates the 30 in 168 rest rule. I'm hoping they drop a reserve day to comply, but if they fly me and drop part of a January trip am I pay protected in any way? |

Looks like the MEC has responded to SD's letter regarding 117 and reserve.
The era of "proactive engagement," may be drawing to a close. Most of you have received the recent All Pilots Bulletin from SVP-Flight Operations, Captain Steve Dickson, regarding the Company position on FAR 117’s interaction with several provisions of the existing PWA. ALPA is actively negotiating with the Company to reach an agreement on the new FAR 117 regulations and our PWA work rules. With regard to the Company's publication, the Company and the Association disagree about the effect of the new FARs on some of the current work rules. ALPA has informed the Company that the Association is retaining all its rights under the PWA. Until there is an agreement, Contract Administration will continue to enforce the current language in the PWA. If you have a reserve rotation removed from your line due to the Company asserting that your acknowledgement was untimely, please contact Contract Administration immediately. Ha, I totally went in the backdoor and evidently left too soon because things weren't finished yet.
What I mean is the schedule was slightly different than what I saw. |

Man, I could have sworn there was a lot of angst after the merger about how all the bubbas were controlling everything? Which is it?:rolleyes: |

I am sure some on here are ecstatic about that.

Just read DAL is clipping PEk to NRT flights, I work these every month and the load factors on them seem good. Are we code sharing this out or just doing the Monty Python move? (run away run away)
This has been a way to get crews to Asia, will this cause more DH's to NRT or is something else happening? thanx |
JFK Transportation?
Hmmmmmmm,
The company has decided to have arriving crews (pilots and flight attendants) ride the Airtrain to Federal Circle and meet the Hotel {that shall go nameless, because this is a public forum and no one must know where airline crews layover because it is a very big security secret } shuttle van there. The intent is that it will be a quicker trip to the hotel, rather than waiting for a van to arrive from the hotel. Outbound crews will still be dropped off at the terminal by the hotel shuttle. OK Let me get this straight - When crews are going to the airport it is quick and convenient to drop us at the airport, but when we are going to the Hotel - Tango Sierra! Something seems fishy here.
